More about the Group...

We are the Fort Vancouver Good Sams. We camp each month for the 7 warm months, and have monthly meetings in Vancouver, Washington during the winter months. With our proximity to the Portland metro area, we also have several campouts in Oregon.

We are always looking for new members to join in the fun with us. Our chapter welcomes all styles of camping, whether you have a 5th wheel, Class C, Class B, Class A, camper van/Euro-van or travel trailer, the only restriction put on us is where we camp, be it privately-owned or State or Federal Parks.

Some of the appealing things about RV life style is the opportunity to meet so many different people whether you like biking, fishing, shopping, hiking, eating or just relaxing. Also available to members is the huge knowledge-base of information among RVers with varying levels of experience if you need help with any aspect of RV travel.

Group Demographics...

Our members come from all walks of life....as do our our Camping rigs!

Do not feel that you need to be retired or working, do not feel you need a 45ft Class A or a small 12' travel trailer..ALL ARE WELCOME. Members of our group are married, partnered, single, retired, working PT & FT, range in age from 40 & up... and have a range of rigs from small restored vintage trailers to large new Class A...and EVERYTHING in between.

Not only does this varierty bring a fantastic group together for fun and excitement, but a wide range of knowledge if you ever need assistance or "how-to" on your rig. More than once this knowledge has helped a disabled rig in our group while camping...

indoor/outdoor games, local sightseeing adventures, cooking and food adventures, Potlucks and BBQ's, and simple lounging and relaxing are all key parts of our enjoyment as a group.
